Let's talk about affiliate links, because I believe in being upfront about how this works. Some of the products, services, and experiences I recommend across my website and social media may earn me a small commission if you purchase through my links. It does not cost you a single extra penny and it helps keep Kloud9 Journeys running, so everybody wins.
What I also want you to know is this: I do not do paid endorsements. I do not recommend things because someone slid into my inbox with a deal. Everything I recommend has been personally researched, vetted, and genuinely loved by me.
I am also committed to making sure my partnerships reflect my values. Local businesses, small businesses, minority owned businesses, these are who I want to champion wherever possible. I will not always get it right and I will always be the first to say so. But it is the standard I hold myself to and one I am always working to raise.

I am a licensed travel agent and the founder of the registered business Kloud9 Journeys. Kloud9 Journeys is currently completing its California Seller of Travel registration and all bookings in the interim are processed through a fully licensed and registered host agency. As a licensed travel agent, I have access to industry pricing, deals, and packages that may not be publicly available. In some cases I may earn a commission from suppliers such as hotels, airlines, or tour operators on bookings made on your behalf. This will never influence my recommendation. If a better deal exists outside of a commission-bearing option, that is the deal I will bring to you. Your best trip at the best price is always my goal.
Content & Experience Disclaimer
The content across Kloud9 Journeys and all of my social media channels is based primarily on my own personal travel experience and firsthand knowledge. When I share content based on the experience or recommendation of a trusted associate, colleague, or fellow traveler rather than my own personal experience, I will always make that clearly known within that post.
Travel is dynamic and conditions, prices, visa requirements, and recommendations can change. I keep everything as current as I can, but travel has a mind of its own. The fine print version of that is: Kloud9 Journeys cannot be held liable for changes that occur after content is published. The human version is: always double check before you book and when in doubt, please ask me.

What I collect and why
Kloud9 Journeys and its affiliated platforms collect information in the following ways:
Passive collection Nothing sneaky happening here, I promise. Like every website and social media platform you visit, mine collect some basic anonymous data automatically. Think page views, watch time, general location, and device type, all depending on your own profile/bowser settings. Each platform manages this according to their own policies and I am not doing anything with the information beyond understanding how my content is landing with you.
Active collection If you choose to reach out through one of my forms, first of all, hi! I am so glad you did. I want you to know upfront that I will never spam you or add you to any marketing list without getting your express permission first. And I will always respect it if you ever want to be removed. No hard feelings, ever.
You might get the occasional automated email, a confirmation here, a gentle follow up there, maybe a review request after your trip because feedback genuinely makes me better. But mostly what you will get is a real message from a real person who actually read what you sent and cares about your response.
Your information will never be sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes. The only time your details leave my hands is when the nature of travel requires it, think hotels, airlines, visa processes, etc. I will always keep you in the loop about who receives your information, why they need it, and what is being shared. So when a check in notification from your airline or a welcome message from your hotel lands in your inbox, you will already know it is coming. No surprises. Just your trip falling into place.
Kloud9 Journeys in Ghana
Kloud9 Journeys Ghana is a legally registered Ghanaian business. It is a co-ownership between me and my dear friend and business partner Maame Tutuwaa Paitoo, and honestly one of the things I am most proud of. We met traveling, which could not be more on brand, and eventually decided to stop just exploring the world together and start bringing other people along for the ride.
I have been visiting Ghana for 13 years and it is my second home. And Maame? She is my Ghanaian sister. She has lived there her whole life, welcomes guests from all over the world into her home and her heart, and somehow knows every single person, place, and hidden gem in the entire country. She is a pillar of her community in every sense of the word and I am so lucky to call her my partner and my friend.
Kloud9 Journeys Ghana was built with a very specific intention. Yes, we want to bring you to one of the most beautiful, vibrant, and welcoming countries on the planet. For many of us in the diaspora, it is also something far more personal than a trip. It is a homecoming. A chance to stand somewhere that is part of your story and feel it in your bones. But we also want to change the narrative for everyone who comes. Ghana is not the mythical Africa you have seen in beseeching charity ads or dire news headlines. It is prosperous, it is safe, it is electric, and its people are some of the warmest, most frank, and most extraordinary human beings you will ever meet. The world has been fed a very narrow version of what “Africa“ looks and feels like, and we are here to expand that picture one trip at a time.
Every Ghanaian experience we curate puts money directly into the Ghanaian economy through local businesses, guides, restaurants, and makers. We partner thoughtfully and intentionally, weaving charitable contributions and community focused excursions into every trip so that the people of Ghana benefit just as much as the travelers we bring to their door.
